In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, Kent County Levy Court offices will be closed on Friday, June 19. Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a time for reflection, education, and recognition of the ongoing pursuit of equality. Normal operations will resume on Monday, June 22.
This is a 20-minute formal presentation with PowerPoint slides explains property fraud and what the property owners can do to mitigate damages from it.
The presentation provides a history of the crime, how it has changed in the last 15 years, and how it exists all over the country and in Kent County. At the end, the audience will be asked to register for our free alert system and to share information about the program with others.
This presentation has been given many times and is always well-received. Almost 3,000 property owners in Kent County registered for the program in the first year.
Please contact: Hon Eugenia Thornton, Kent County Recorder of Deeds, at 302-744-2321 or Recorder@KentCountyDE.gov for more information and to facilitate the presentation if already scheduled.
