Kent County officials are reminding residents that county property taxes are due by Tuesday, September 30, 2025. To accommodate taxpayers and ensure timely payments, the Tax Office will remain open until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30th.

The function of the Sheriff's Office is to service the Citizens of Kent County by performing many functions for the State of Delaware Courts (Superior Court, Court of Common Pleas, U.S. District Court and the Court of Chancery). The Sheriff's Office serves legal notices to include (subpoenas, levies, summons, etc.). Additionally, the Sheriff's Office auctions real estate in accordance with the Delaware Code.
