Trash services for Kent County Trash District Customers will be delayed by 1 day the week of September 7, 2026.
Our offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8.Please note that all essential services will remain fully operational throughout the holiday to ensure you stay supported.We hope this long weekend brings you a well-deserved opportunity to rest, recharge, and celebrate with loved ones.
The Kent County Levy Court Administrative Complex, including the Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, September 7 , 2026, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
This closure WILL AFFECT ALL TRASH DISTRICT CUSTOMERS. Trash, recycle, and yard waste services will be delayed by ONE DAY for the entire week (example: Monday service is Tuesday, Tuesday service is Wednesday, Wednesday service is Thursday, etc.). Customers should place their cans at the curb the evening before their scheduled service.
