Preparing Your Recycling

  • Keep items empty, clean, and dry
  • Do not bag your recycling
  • Break down cardboard boxes
  • Return single use plastic bags to the stores

Acceptable Items

Plastic

  • Hard plastic containers
  • Water Bottles, Milk Jugs, etc.
  • Leave the lids on

Glass

  • Bottles & Jars
  • No Window Glass, Dishes, or Mirrors
  • Remove the lids - Recycle separately

Paper

  • Cardboard, Cartons, Paper
  • Paper should be postcard size or larger
  • No grease or food residue

Metal

  • Aluminum, Steel, Tin Cans
  • Clean and Empty
  • Remove lids and place inside cans

  • Plastic Bags
  • Batteries
  • Garbage
  • Tanglers (Hoses, string lights)
  • Food Waste
  • Yard Waste
  • Household Paper Products
